Ori has a keen interest in the mobile internet and works with companies at the intersection of mobile computing and commerce. In addition, as an economist in a prior life, Ori has a strong background in assessing consumer behavior and believes that the next wave of competition will be won by those that are best able to create a personalized and customized user experience.
Ori is either on the boards of or works closely with the management teams of:
- Delivery Agent, leader in shopping-enabled programming and content monetization;
- InfoGin, an exciting company pioneering new ways for web content to be consumed in a mobile environment;
- PlayPhone, one of the largest mobile content aggregators serving the mobile market; and
- Red Bend Software, the leading provider of Mobile Software Management (MSM) solutions for the Mobile, WiMAX and Machine-to-Machine (M2M) markets.
Experience
Ori worked as an economist in the Research Department at the Bank of Israel before pursuing a career in academia. As a Professor of Economics and Finance at the University of Haifa in Israel and the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, Ori spent six years conducting research related to behavioral finance and the psychology of decision making.
